Maybelline Fit Me foundation and concealer
Alright lovies, the time has come! I've been seeing Maybellines commercials for the new Fit Me line and was very skeptical at first. I've tried a few of their cosmetics, foundations included, and was far from impressed. Although I didn't really want to try it I figured I owed it to makeup lovers everywhere to try it. I found the concealer at Walgreens for $6 and ALL of the foundation was sold out, so needless to say I wanted it even more at that point. First let me tell you how to buy the product. On the display there are little cards with the foundation color, numbers and concealer recommendations (if your number 335 foundation try 35 concealer). There are little cutout windows on the card and you put your wrist under the window and do so until you find your match.
After days of checking Walgreens I gave up and got it from Target. At Target its $6.99 (not bad at all). I get home and smell it, put it on my hand and was like "whoa". The next day I decided to actually wear it. I put it on the first time with my fingers as I do all of my liquid foundations and let me tell you. I was sooooo shocked! It was gorgeous! I could tell the color was right while it was wet and was still worried about the ashy look after it dried. I finished it with Maybellines Finishing Veil Mineral Powder. After it set again I was surprised, it was flawless.
It gives full coverage, blends well and only has a slight fragrance. Well honestly, I don't know, my secondtime wearing Fit Me I used a new foundation brush (also from Target by Sonia Kashuk $14.99) and I think the brush might have the scent. Anyways, the color fits me awesomely. I've worn it 4hrs, 5hrs and 15hrs. The only time it needed a touch up was after 10hrs!!! The concealer goes on very bright but erases my dark under eye circles once covered up with the foundation. I will definitely buy the pressed powder and put it into heavy rotation.
I think I like this product more than Revlons Colorstay but only on days I want a dewy texture to my skin. I would definitely recommend this product to anything with a pulse. Try and I'm pretty sure you'll love it!

New Journey
As some of you may have figured out, I am a definite beauty addict. I love hair and makeup and have recently decided to just go for it. I have so many ideas on a business that I want to start. In order for me to really get this business going and have an active hand in the business I have to get my cosmetology license. So I've decided to go ahead and go for it. I mean why not? Whats the worst that could happen? I get my license and work for someone else? I start my business and it just does ok? Well me being who I am, none of those are options for me. Seems like whenever this business idea is on my mind it just gets bigger and bigger. The ideas start to refine and expand. After talking to my dad and my husband and a couple of people who know me fairly well. I've decided to for it. Balls out..Go hard or go home? I started school 3 days ago and I must say not only have I learned alot already but I have natural skills when it comes to hair lol. Not to toot my own horn but BEEP BEEP..
I look at the girls (and guys) at the school and I just wonder to myself a few things.1) when you move up in your classes you eventually work with real clients so how is it you come to school where your business is beauty and you look a hot mess. Now you don't have to wear makeup or completely do your hair every single day. But if you come to school looking like a bogged down house mom and the next student looks like a cosmetologist, who do you think that client would prefer? I know who I would prefer. Your not gonna touch my head when yours looks like a bird nest or a nappy ponyweave. 2) If you know that you will eventually be going to state board to test for your license so you can get your credentials and work as a licensed cosmetologist wouldn't you take your class time serious..I'm just saying. While you're texting on your phone missing the step by step instructions on how to pass state boards in the midst of being unorganized and I'm paying attention, please don't ask me whats going on because I WILL IGNORE YOU!!!
I can't wait to get my kit so I can start practicing and reading my books and stuff. I can't wait til I register my business name and get the ball rolling on that too. This is my new journey so not only will I do the regular makeup stuff I will keep ya'll informed on how school and the business are going....till later smooches booches!

Cheap and easy eye makeup remover
VASELINE!!!! Now I know some of you are probably like wth! But let me tell you Vaseline is a great eye makeup remover. Most makeup removers that I've tried leave my eye feeling dry and kind of near raw. Vaseline does just the opposite and instead of paying over $5 for a makeup remover its costs about $2 depending on how big of a jar or tube you get. All you have to do is take a little vaseline, about the size of a pencil eraser, and just rub it into the skin in a circular motion. You will notice that the colors on your eyes and your eyeliner and mascara smear leaving you looking like you have a black eye. Once you get that black eye look just take clean cotton balls (because they are soft) and wipe away! Its just that simple. Using the vaseline leaves your eye free of makeup and soft. Just make sure that when you're rubbing the vaseline in that you don't open your eye or else it will get in your eye and it feels a lil weird lol..hope that helps my beautiful budgetistas!

Review: IMAN Second to None Cream to Powder Foundation
After watching Iman strut her stuff on Fashion Show (her show on Bravo) I decided that I wanted to try something from this gorgeous womans cosmetic line. While standing in the aisle at target looking at her line I was weary. I won't be the one to lie to you, it's kind of weird looking at her products because in my opinion the packaging is so dark and the way the products are named is very unique. This particular Target was running low on her shadows so I picked a cream to powder foundation. As always it was a little hard trying to pick a color considering there is no sampling or trying on. After lots of consideration and going back and forth I walked out with CLAY 3..Purchase price $15.
I tried on the foundation with every doubt in my mind. It went on a little awkward looking but once it dried it was pretty much flawless to be a "drugstore" product. This foundation gives a really natural looking medium coverage. With a concealer your skin would probably looked airbrushed. I set it with Revlons Mineral Finishing Powder in Suntan Matte. It feels very light and once it dried it left my skin feeling really silky with a very natural look. I have oily skin so after a few hours of actually wearing it a touch up was needed but even after the first touch up it lasted about 5-6hrs. That isn't a very long time compared to other foundations but I do believe that its worth it. I haven't yet tried it with the milk of magnesia trick but I soon will and will report back. This is great for everyday wear if you prefer a medium coverage without alot of work (and by work I mean layering and layering your foundation).
The compact is black similar bulky style to the MAC Studio Tech compact. It is very lightweight and flimsy, I dropped it once and yes its broke! It wasn't a long fall either just from the bathroom counter to the floor lol. But Im still going to use it until its gone and then purchase it again and again!
What else should I review on IMAN or anything else. Let me know!
